Oddity or Regular Pony? Who is to say!!
These are four different Ponies named Lemon Drop. The one in the front left is the Regular Pony, she was made in Hong Kong and is a US Pony. Next we have Lemon Drop from Italy in the right front. The Yellow Pony with purple hair in the back left is made in Macau. The Grey Pony with Pink hair in back is also made in Macau. The Macau Ponies are the most sought after with the Italian Ponies coming next.
There are many varieties of costumes for Ponies. Here we have numerous Wedding Ponies. They come with different veils, rings, dresses and even a cake. The two on the left in back are the Regular US Ponies.
The two Ponies with the orange forelocks are from the UK, her name is Confetti. The Pink Pony is also a foreign pony named "Love Token", she is part of a four piece set named the, Romance Ponies.
We even have a Baby Pony that is a bridesmaid. Her name is of course, Baby Bridesmaid and she is a 1990 International pony that is part of the "Activity Club Set" of baby ponies.
Mini Ponies? Yes indeed. These Ponies are called, "Petite Ponies" and they come in all colors and with different shaped hair-from plastic molded to long straight, and then to VERY curly. This is a Carousel Set of Pony Petites and it plays music and spins. Each of these petite ponies have a groove in the bottom that acts as a key and they turn on the music and open the doors to the petite play-sets. Other Pony Petite sets include the Happy Hearts Cottage, the Pony Prints Cabin, the Mane Delights Beauty Shoppe, and there is a large Castle Set for the Petite Ponies too. These were all Regular US Ponies.
Most Ponies are GIRL Ponies but there are some MALE Ponies too. You can tell by the Clydesdale type "hairy" hooves. They come in both adult and baby male ponies. In the US they are called Big Brother Ponies. We have the Pony named Tex with his hat and scarf. In the back we have the Pony named Wigwam with his headdress and scarf. The Purple and Pink Pony in the back is a UK/Euro Exclusive . . . his name is Fireball. In the UK they are called Mountain Boys. There are only about 16 Male adult Ponies and approximately 20 male baby Ponies. Most males are the Regular US made.
Even when we say Regular Ponies, do these really look regular to you? These are all US regular ponies, although they do look like oddities. In the back right with the BIG hair-we have a Perfume-puff Pony, Sweet Lily, the back left is a Pegasus Pony, Starglow, that glows in the dark!! The yellow left Pony has Gems for eyes, Tic-Tac-Toe, the hot pink one in the middle has a tail that twirls. A Blue Princess Pony, Serena, in the front right has an embedded Heart Jewel and glittery hair. The Yellow Pony on the right that has cascading hair is from a set called "Candy Cane Ponies", her name is Lemon Treats, and smells like Lemon Cake (yummy). The striped Pony in the front, Starswirl, has two sisters that are different colored but just as beautiful. The blue Pony in the back has designs all over her--she is called a TAF, or a Twice As Fancy Pony. We have the Queen named Majesty in the back, she is the Red and White Unicorn and came with a very large Castle Play-Set. Bowtie is the Blue Pony in the middle and Cotton Candy is the Pink Pony up front on the left. Wow, imagine that--A Pony that sits!! Her name is SeaShell and there are only two ponies made that are sitting. Her sisters name is Bubbles and she is Yellow with green bubbles on her hip.
